Now you are in the present time and enter your destination address into a modern navigation system before starting your journey. You will receive exact values back. Travel time, distance, alternatives, traffic situation and above all your current position in real time. This is navigated implantology in modern dentistry with all its advantages for your implantologist and thus also for you.

Navigated implantology is an implantology procedure that supports implantologists during implantation in real time using assistance systems. For this purpose, digitally generated patient data (DVT and oral situation) are connected to the computer and form the planning basis. The planning can be done in the laboratory for the production of the dental prosthesis immediately at the beginning of the production and can also be optimized from this side. First and foremost, however, planning is a necessary step to provide the implantologist with values for the assistance systems.

DVT - THE BASIS FOR DIAGNOSIS AND PLANNING


A DVT digitizes the human being with "skin and hair". Bones and tissue leave a different "contrast signature" in the X-ray image. This allows certain areas to be clearly emphasized using contrast filtering. In implantology, the existing bone material is particularly important. The quantity determines the degree of freedom in planning and, if necessary, the necessary bone augmentation.

DIGITAL PLANNING BASED ON THE DVT


Our system for Navigated Implantology enables us to connect further digital information 3-dimensionally with the DVT. For example, nerve pathways and tooth impressions or dental prosthesis planning can be virtually connected. This visualized transparency of the overall situation with all marginal factors in interaction makes it easier to plan implants. For example, the opening channels for fixing the dental prosthesis to the implants can be located in invisible and easily accessible places. This makes treatment more comfortable and the final result is more esthetic.

 

 

NAVIGATED IMPLANTOLOGY WITH X-NAV


X-Nav is a very modern system from the USA, which we introduced as the first implantology practice in Europe for our patients. With this system, very precise implantations can be performed and it fits perfectly into the digital alignment of our process chain. The implantation continues as before, with a special handpiece that has markers and is monitored by the system in real time and compared with the planning. For you, the implantation is of course as gentle as possible under local anesthesia - if desired, also under general anesthesia.

PRECISION WITH LITTLE BONE MASS


Without teeth, a jaw will break down bone, just like a muscle that is not strained. This is often a decisive factor for the overall planning, because in some cases the amount of bone available is no longer sufficient to be able to place dental implants well. In this case, bone augmentation is necessary. With our planning software and special markers, we can bring the gum shape into line with our data from the DVT and carry out meaningful implant planning. Without teeth as a fixed external reference for the bone position, however, it is necessary to encode the planning in a drilling template. The implnatates can also be set navigated in this way.
